چکیده
The NHS has administered a covid-19 vaccine to more than 18 million people, quarter of the UK population, since December—an extraordinary logistical achievement.1 But vaccinating everybody here will not protect us from longer term harm, say infectious disease experts, including government’s SAGE adviser and Wellcome Trust director, Jeremy Farrar, in BMJ Interview this week,2 also available podcast (bmj.com/archive/podcasts). Experimental Departures from Self-Interest When Competing Partnerships Share Output∗
When every individual’s effort imposes negative externalities, selfinterested behavior leads to socially excessive effort. To curb these excesses when effort cannot be monitored, competing output-sharing partnerships can form. With the right-sized groups, aggregate effort falls to the socially optimal level. We investigate this theory experimentally and find that while it makes correct qualitat...

متن کاملA Peer Common Interest Share Model
On-line communities on the Internet are highly self-organizing, dynamic and ubiquitous. The prime interest of peers in this community is often sharing common interest, even when compromising privacy. This paper presents a peer coordination strategy and a data sharing process for peers on the Internet which allows them to discover their common interest in terms of sets of frequently visited URLs...
